Toen beval de koning, en zij brachten die mannen voor, die Daniel overluid beschuldigd hadden, en zij wierpen in den kuil der leeuwen hen, hun kinderen, en hun vrouwen; en zij kwamen niet op den grond des kuils, of de leeuwen heersten over hen, zij vermorzelden ook al hun beenderen.

Then Darius, the king, wrote to all peoples, lineages, and languages, dwelling in all earth, (and said,) Peace be multiplied to you. (Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, and the tribes, or the nations, in every language, living on all the earth, and said, Peace be multiplied to you.)
