11 und bricht heraus an der Seite Ekrons her mitternachtwärts und zieht sich gen Sichron und geht über den Berg Baala und kommt heraus gen Jabneel, daß ihr Ende ist das Meer.

Joshua 15:11

And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward
Which was one of the principalities of the Philistines; and which, though it fell to the lot of Judah, ( Joshua 15:45 ) , was not possessed by them:

and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to Mount Baalah;
of which places we have no account elsewhere:

and went unto Jabneel;
which Masius makes no doubt was one of the Jamnias, and particularly that which was a seaport; which Strabo says

10 und lenkt sich herum von Baala gegen Abend zum Gebirge Seir und geht an der Mitternachtseite des Gebirges Jearim, das ist Chesalon, und kommt herab gen Beth-Semes und geht durch Thimna{~} {~}

12 Die Grenze aber gegen Abend ist das große Meer. Das ist die Grenze der Kinder Juda umher nach ihren Geschlechtern. {~}

13 Kaleb aber, dem Sohn Jephunnes, ward sein Teil gegeben unter den Kindern Juda, wie der HERR dem Josua befahl, nämlich die Stadt des Arba, des Vaters Enaks, das ist Hebron.
