And there arose certain
Two false witnesses, as in ( Matthew 26:60 ) , who stood up in court; for witnesses were obliged to stand, whilst they gave in their testimony:

``says R. Bo, in the name of R. Hona, witnesses ought (dwmel) , "to stand", whilst they bear witness; as it is said, ( Deuteronomy 19:17 ) . "Both the men shall stand" F13''

And bare false witness against him, saying;
as follows.

57 Alors quelques-uns se levèrent, qui portèrent un faux témoignage contre lui, disant:
58 Nous lui avons entendu dire: Je détruirai ce temple, fait de main d'homme, et dans trois jours j'en rebâtirai un autre, qui ne sera point fait de main d'homme.
59 Mais leur déposition ne s'accordait pas non plus.
