6 Grandi e piccoli morranno in questo paese; non avranno sepoltura, non si farà cordoglio per loro, nessuno si farà incisioni addosso o si raderà per loro;

Jeremiah 16:6

Both the great and the small shall die in this land
The nobles as well as the common people, high and low, rich and poor; none shall be exempted from the grievous deaths by the sword, famine, and pestilence. They shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them;
as before, ( Jeremiah 16:4 ) , this shall be the common case of them all; the great and the rich shall have no more care and notice taken of them than the poor: nor cut themselves;
their flesh, with their nails, or with knives, to show their grief for the dead, and to alleviate the sorrow of surviving friends, by bearing a part with them: nor make themselves bald for them;
by plucking off the hair of their heads, or by shaving them, and between their eyes; which though forbidden the Jews by the law of God, as being Heathenish customs, yet obtained in the times of Jeremiah, and were usually done; see ( Deuteronomy 14:1 ) .

4 Essi morranno consunti dalle malattie, non saranno rimpianti, e non avranno sepoltura; serviranno di letame sulla faccia del suolo; saranno consumati dalla spada e dalla fame, e i loro cadaveri saran pasto agli uccelli del cielo, e alle bestie della terra.

5 Poiché così parla l’Eterno: Non entrare nella casa del lutto, non andare a far cordoglio con loro né a compiangerli, perché, dice l’Eterno, io ho ritirato da questo popolo la mia pace, la mia benignità, la mia compassione.

6 Grandi e piccoli morranno in questo paese; non avranno sepoltura, non si farà cordoglio per loro, nessuno si farà incisioni addosso o si raderà per loro;

7 non si romperà per loro il pane del lutto per consolarli d’un morto, e non si offrirà loro a bere la coppa della consolazione per un padre o per una madre.

8 Parimente non entrare in alcuna casa di convito per sederti con loro a mangiare ed a bere.
