1 Dàwèi zhāo jù Yǐsèliè gè zhīpaì de shǒulǐng Hélún bān fúshì wáng de jūnzhǎng , yǔ qiā fú zhǎng , bǎifūzhǎng , zhǎng guǎn wáng hé wáng zǐ chǎnyè shēngchù de , bìng taì jiān , yǐjí dà néng de yǒng shì , dōu dào Yēlùsǎlĕng lái .

2 Dàwèi wáng jiù zhàn qǐlai , shuō , wǒde dìxiōng , wǒde bǎixìng a , nǐmen dāng tīng wǒ yán , wǒ xīnli bĕn xiǎng jiànzào diàn yǔ , ānfàng Yēhéhuá de yuē guì, zuòwéi wǒ shén de jiǎo dèng . wǒ yǐjing yùbeì jiànzào de cái liào .

3 Zhǐshì shén duì wǒ shuō , nǐ bùkĕ wèi wǒde míng jiànzào diàn yǔ . yīn nǐ shì zhànshì , liú le rén de xuè .

4 Ránér , Yēhéhuá Yǐsèliè de shén zaì wǒ fù de quán jiā jiǎnxuǎn wǒ zuò Yǐsèliè de wáng , zhídào yǒngyuǎn . yīn tā jiǎnxuǎn Yóudà wèi shǒulǐng . zaì Yóudà zhīpaì zhōng jiǎnxuǎn wǒ fù jiā , zaì wǒ fù de zhòng zǐ lǐ xǐyuè wǒ , lì wǒ zuò Yǐsèliè zhòngrén de wáng .

5 Yēhéhuá cì wǒ xǔduō érzi , zaì wǒ érzi zhōng jiǎnxuǎn Suǒluómén zuò Yēhéhuá de guó wèi , zhìlǐ Yǐsèliè rén .

6 Yēhéhuá duì wǒ shuō , nǐ érzi Suǒluómén bì jiànzào wǒde diàn hé yuàn yǔ . yīnwei wǒ jiǎnxuǎn tā zuò wǒde zǐ , wǒ yĕ bì zuò tāde fù .

7 Tā ruò héng jiǔ zūnxíng wǒde jièmìng diǎnzhāng rújīn rì yíyàng , wǒ jiù bìjiāndéng tāde guó wèi , zhídào yǒngyuǎn .

8 Xiànjīn zaì Yēhéhuá de huì zhōng , Yǐsèliè zhòngrén yǎnqián suǒ shuō de , wǒmen de shén yĕ tīngjian le . nǐmen yīngdāng xúnqiú Yēhéhuá nǐmen shén de yīqiè jièmìng , jǐn shǒu zūnxíng , rúcǐ nǐmen kĕyǐ chéngshòu zhè mĕi dì , wèi liú gĕi nǐmen de zǐsūn , yǒngyuǎn wèi yè .

9 wǒ ér Suǒluómén nǎ , nǐ dāng rènshi Yēhéhuá nǐ fù de shén , chéng xīn lèyì dì shìfèng tā . yīnwei tā jiàn chá zhòngrén de xīn , zhīdào yīqiè xīn sāi yìniàn . nǐ ruò xúnqiú tā , tā bì shǐ nǐ xún jiàn . nǐ ruò lí qì tā , tā bì yǒngyuǎn diūqì nǐ .

10 Nǐ dāng jǐnshèn , yīn Yēhéhuá jiǎnxuǎn nǐ jiànzào diàn yǔ zuòwéi shèng suǒ . nǐ dāng gāngqiáng qù xíng .

11 Dàwèi jiāng diàn de yóu láng , páng wū , fǔ kù , lóu fáng , neì diàn , hé shī ēn suǒ de yàngshì zhǐshì tā érzi Suǒluómén ,

12 Yòu jiāng beì líng gǎndòng suǒ dé de yàngshì , jiù shì Yēhéhuá shén diàn de yuànzi , zhōuwéi de fángwū , diàn de fǔ kù , hé shèngwù fǔ kù de yīqiè yàngshì dōu zhǐshì tā .

13 Yòu zhǐshì tā jìsī hé Lìwèi rén de bāncì yǔ Yēhéhuá diàn lǐ gèyàng de gōngzuò , bìng Yēhéhuá diàn lǐ yīqiè qìmǐn de yàngshì ,

14 Yǐjí gèyàng yìngyòng jīnqì de fēn liǎng hé gèyàng yìngyòng yínqì de fèn liǎng ,

15 Jīn dēngtái hé jīn dēng de fèn liǎng , yín dēngtái hé yín dēng de fèn liǎng , qīng zhòng gè dōu hé yí .

16 Chénshèbǐng jīn zhuōzi de fèn liǎng , yín zhuōzi de fèn liǎng ,

17 Jīng jīn de ròu chā zǐ , pánzi , hé jué de fèn liǎng , gè jīn wǎn yǔ gè yín wǎn de fēn liǎng ,

19 Dàwèi shuō , zhè yīqiè gōngzuò de yàngshì dōu shì Yēhéhuá yòng shǒu huá chūlai shǐ wǒ míngbai de .

20 Dàwèi yòu duì tā érzi Suǒluómén shuō , nǐ dāng gāngqiáng zhuàng dǎn qù xíng . búyào jùpà , yĕ búyào jīng huáng . yīnwei Yēhéhuá shén jiù shì wǒde shén , yǔ nǐ tóng zaì . tā bì bù piĕ xià nǐ , yĕ bú4 diūqì nǐ , zhídào Yēhéhuá diàn de gōngzuò dōu wánbì le .

21 Yǒu jìsī hé Lìwèi rén de gè bān , wéi yào bànlǐ shén diàn gèyàng de shì , yòu yǒu língqiǎo de rén zaì gèyàng de gōngzuò shàng lèyì bāngzhu nǐ . bìng yǒu zhòng shǒulǐng hé zhòng mín yī xīn tīng cóng nǐde mìnglìng .

Lìdaìzhìshàng 28 Commentary

Chapter 28

David exhorts the people to the fear of the Lord. (1-10) He gives instructions for the temple. (11-21)

Verses 1-10 During David's last sickness, many chief priests and Levites were at Jerusalem. Finding himself able, David spoke of his purpose to build a temple for God, and of God's disallowing that purpose. He opened to them God's gracious purposes concerning Solomon. David charged them to cleave stedfastly to God and their duty. We cannot do our work as we should, unless we put on resolution, and fetch in strength from Divine grace. Religion or piety has two distinct parts. The first is knowledge of God, the second is worship of God. David says, Know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and a willing mind. God is made known by his works and word. Revelation alone shows the whole character of God, in his providence, his holy law, his condemnation of sinners, his blessed gospel, and the ministration of the Spirit to all true believers. The natural man cannot receive this knowledge of God. But thus we learn the value of the Saviour's atonement, and of the sanctification of the Holy Spirit, and are influenced to walk in all his commandments. It brings a sinner to his proper place at the foot of the cross, as a poor, guilty, helpless worm, deserving wrath, yet expecting every thing needful from the free mercy and grace of God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Having been forgiven much, the pardoned sinner learns to love much.

Verses 11-21 The temple must be a sacred thing, and a type of Christ; it must be framed by Divine teaching. Christ is the true temple, the church is the gospel temple, and heaven the everlasting temple; all are framed according to the Divine counsels, and the plan laid in the Divine wisdom, ordained before the world, for God's glory and our good. David gave this pattern to Solomon, that he might go by rule. Materials were provided for the most costly utensils of the temple. Directions were given which way to look for help in this great undertaking. Be not dismayed; God will help thee, and thou must look up to him in the first place. We may be sure that God, who owned our fathers, and carried them through the services of their day, will, in like manner, never leave us, while he has any work to do in us, or by us. Good work is likely to go on, when all concerned are hearty in furthering it. Let us hope in God's mercy; if we seek him, he will be found of us.

David, having convened the principal men of the nation, declared Solomon his successor, whom God had chosen both to be king, and to build the temple, 1Ch 28:1-7, and exhorted both them and him to serve the Lord, and build an house for him, 1Ch 28:8-10, then gave Solomon the pattern of it, and an account of the materials he had prepared for it, 1Ch 28:11-19, and encouraged him to go about the work with alacrity and intrepidity, 1Ch 28:20,21.
