Mínshùjì 27:1-11

1 Shǔ Yūesè de érzi Mǎnáxī de gè zú , yǒu Mǎnáxī de xuán sūn , Machir de céng sūn , Jīliè de sūnzi , Xīfú de érzi xī luo fēi hā de nǚér , míng jiào Mǎlā , nuó a , hé lā , Mìjiā , Desǎ . tāmen qián lái ,
2 Zhàn zaì huì mù ménkǒu , zaì Móxī hé jìsī YǐlìYàsā , bìng zhòng shǒulǐng yǔ quánhuì zhòng miànqián , shuō ,
3 Wǒmen de fùqin sǐ zaì kuàngyĕ . tā bú yǔ Kĕlā tóng dǎng jùjí gōngjī Yēhéhuá , shì zaì zìjǐ zuì zhōng sǐ de . tā yĕ méiyǒu érzi .

5 Yúshì , Móxī jiàng tāmen de ànjiàn chéng dào Yēhéhuá miànqián .
6 Yēhéhuá xiǎoyù Móxī shuō ,
7 Xī luo fēi hā de nǚér shuō de yǒu lǐ . nǐ déng yào zaì tāmen fùqin de dìxiōng zhōng , bǎ dì fèn gĕi tāmen wéi yè . yào jiàng tāmen fùqin de chǎnyè guī gĕi tāmen .
8 Nǐ yĕ yào xiǎoyù Yǐsèliè rén shuō , rén ruò sǐ le méiyǒu érzi , jiù yào bǎ tāde chǎnyè guī gĕi tāde nǚér .
9 Tā ruò méiyǒu nǚér , jiù yào bǎ tāde chǎnyè gĕi tāde dìxiōng .
10 Tā ruò méiyǒu dìxiōng , jiù yào bǎ tāde chǎnyè gĕi tā fùqin de dìxiōng .

Mínshùjì 27:1-11 Meaning and Commentary

INTRODUCTION TO NUMBERS 27

This chapter relates, that, upon a petition of the daughters of Zelophehad, the affair of inheritances was settled; and it is directed that, in case of want of male issue, inheritances should pass to females, and in failure of them to the next of kin, whether father's brethren or any near kinsman, Nu 27:1-11, also an order to Moses to go up to the Mount Abarim, and take a view of the good land, and die; with the reason of it, Nu 27:12-14, upon which Moses desires a successor of him might be appointed, Nu 27:15-17, in answer to which Joshua is nominated, and being presented before the high priest and the people, was invested with his office, by imposition of hands, and had his charge given him, Nu 27:18-23.
