As the former chapter declares the hypocrisy and formality of professors of religion; this expresses the errors and heresies, immorality and profaneness, which shall prevail before the spiritual reign of Christ, or the latter day glory begins; which is so fully described in the next chapter. Reasons are given of God's withdrawing his presence from a professing people, which were not want of power and readiness in him, but their own sins and transgressions, Isa 59:1,2 which are enumerated, such as murder, rapine, lies Isa 59:3-8 for which the judgments of God were upon them, darkness, distress, and misery, of which they were sensible, Isa 59:9-11 and confess their sins and transgressions, Isa 59:12,13 and lament their wretched state and condition, which was displeasing to God, Isa 59:14,15 who is represented as appearing for their salvation; moved to it by their want of help, and the oppression of their enemies, in which he shows his power, justice, zeal, grace, and goodness, Isa 59:16-18 the consequence of which shall be the conversion and salvation of many, owing to the efficacy of the divine Spirit, and to the spiritual coming of the Redeemer, Isa 59:19,20, and the chapter is closed with a promise of the continuance of the Spirit of God, and the Gospel of Christ in his church, unto the end of the world, Isa 59:21.
Holiness, justice and truth are the foundations of God’s character. We only benefit when we put our hearts and minds towards Him. He is the only One who gives everlasting life to those who follow Him.
Pastor Jack tells us to trust in the Lord. He knows the future, and He’s the God who saves us from eternal sorrow. God is calling you to come, but you must decide whether or not to turn from your sin, and put your faith in Him.
On today’s program, Pastor Jack goes through the tribulation period. This is a time period when the Anti-Christ will deceive the world through a false sense of security, and prosperity, during the first 3 ½ years. Everything is lining up for these end time events. But, the time is now to decide who to put your trust in.
Our Christianity is built on God’s promises. God is real, and His mercy is what’s relevant in our lives. The more we put our faith in Him, the less doubt we’ll have in His Word, and in His prophets.
For those who are bent on destruction, they always seem to have enough energy to do the wrong thing. They will never know peace, because their minds have become twisted. For them, evil is good, and good is evil. We need to take inventory of our lives on what’s really important. If we allow ourselves to be caught up in the things of this world, we’ll never be satisfied. But, God sees our foolishness, and wants us to return to Him. When we think that we can handle our earthly passions, we end up as lovers of pleasure instead of lovers of God.
We are creating a world that is detached from reality. We’re looking for answers out there in the cosmos. But, searching for the truth on other planets, will only leave you alienated from true reality. God came to this world to reveal Himself. He’s the Answer to what is relevant in our lives.
