"Be Not Afraid" - Bible Verses to Comfort and Encourage You

The Bible explicitly tells us "be not afraid" of death, sickness, or tribulation. Scripture warns us "do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell" (Matthew 10:28). When the Bible says that we should fear God, this means to know and live by the commandments of God as the divine authority of all things.

The biblical message "be not afraid" relates to the worldly and spiritual forces outside of the kingdom of Heaven. We should not fear the earthly threats of violence or persecution or the demonic spiritual forces of temptation and despair. Jesus Christ is the alpha and omega of life itself, who defeated death and the devil by His holy resurrection. Let us live by faith and not in fear! Rejoice in the Lord!

Here we have gathered a collection of Bible verses about the phrase "be not afraid" to inspire our faith and courage against fear.
