Stress Bible Verses

Bible Verses About Stress - We experience stress for countless reasons, especially in the modern world. So how do we deal with stress in a biblical manner? Christians are not immune to the pitfalls of life, but we are called to place our anxieties on God living by faith instead of fear.

We can turn Scripture when stress enters our heart and mind for peace and reassurance. Anxiety is the lie that God doesn’t have a plan for you. It is the lie that He has no control, and that He is not able to do more than we could ever imagine. It is the lie that keeps us from trusting in Him. It is the lie that keeps our faith from growing. We as followers of Christ believe God is sovereign and in control of our lives and he has given us all we need in order to live life abundantly. However, we also need to understand that when stress dominates our lives, it’s not because we’ve lost the ability to trust God. It’s because we aren’t armed with a game plan to counter stress. Just like the Bible instructs us with multiple ways to combat sin, we need to have a game plan for stress as well.

You can begin having victory over stress through allowing the Word of God to speak truth into your life. Meditate on these Bible verses about stress below and pray for God to give you strength. God wants to rescue you from the fear that causes stress. Seek him today!
