Yǐsījiēshū 14

1 Yǒu jǐ gè Yǐsèliè zhǎnglǎo dào wǒ zhèlǐ lái , zuò zaì wǒ miànqián .
2 Yēhéhuá de huà jiù líndào wǒ shuō ,
3 Rénzǐ a , zhèxie rén yǐ jiāng tāmende jiǎ shén jiē dào xīnli , bǎ xiàn yú zuì de bàn jiǎo shí fàng zaì miànqián , wǒ qǐnéng sī haó beì tāmen qiú wèn ma .
4 Suǒyǐ nǐ yào gàosu tāmen , zhǔ Yēhéhuá rúcǐ shuō , Yǐsèliè jiā de rén zhōng , fán jiāng tāde jiǎ shén jiē dào xīnli , bǎ xiàn yú zuì de bàn jiǎo shí fàng zaì miànqián , yòu jiù le xiānzhī lái de , wǒ Yēhéhuá zaì tā suǒ qiú de shì shang , bì àn tā zhòngduō de jiǎ shén huídá tā ,
5 Hǎo zaì Yǐsèliè jiā de xīn shì shang zhuō zhù tāmen , yīnwei tāmen dōu jiè zhe jiǎ shén yǔ wǒ shēngshū .
6 Suǒyǐ nǐ yào gàosu Yǐsèliè jiā shuō , zhǔ Yēhéhuá rúcǐ shuō , huí tóu ba . líkāi nǐmen de ǒuxiàng , zhuǎn liǎn mò cóng nǐmen yīqiè kĕ zēng de shì .
7 Yīnwei Yǐsèliè jiā de rén , huò zaì Yǐsèliè zhōng jìjū de waìrén , fán yǔ wǒ géjué , jiāng tāde jiǎ shén jiē dào xīnli , bǎ xiàn yú zuì de bàn jiǎo shí fàng zaì miànqián , yòu jiù le xiānzhī lái yào wèi zìjǐ de shì qiú wèn wǒde , wǒ Yēhéhuá bì qīnzì huídá tā .
8 Wǒ bì xiàng nà rén biàn liǎn , shǐ tā zuò le jǐngjiè , xiào tán , líng rén jīnghaì , bìngqiĕ wǒ yào jiāng tā cóng wǒ mín zhōng jiǎnchú . nǐmen jiù zhīdào wǒ shì Yēhéhuá .
9 Xiānzhī ruò beì míhuò shuō yī jù yùyán , shì wǒ Yēhéhuá rèn nà xiānzhī shòu míhuò , wǒ yĕ bì xiàng tā shēnshǒu , jiāng tā cóng wǒ mín Yǐsèliè zhōng chúmiĕ .
10 Tāmen bì dāndāng zìjǐ de zuìniè . xiānzhī de zuìniè hé qiú wèn zhī rén de zuìniè dōu shì yíyàng ,
11 Hǎo shǐ Yǐsèliè jiā bú zaì zǒu mí líkāi wǒ , bú zaì yīn gèyàng de zuì guo diànwū zìjǐ , zhǐyào zuò wǒde zǐmín , wǒ zuò tāmende shén . zhè shì zhǔ Yēhéhuá shuō de .
12 Yēhéhuá de huà líndào wǒ shuō ,
13 Rénzǐ a , ruò yǒu yī guó fàn zuì gānfàn wǒ , wǒ yĕ xiàng tā shēnshǒu zhé duàn tāmende zhàng , jiù shì duàn jué tāmende liáng , shǐ jīhuāng líndào nà dì , jiāng rén yǔ shēngchù cóng qízhōng jiǎnchú .
14 Qízhōng suī yǒu Nuóyà , Dànyǐlǐ , Yuēbó zhè sān rén , tāmen zhǐ néng yīn tāmende yì jiù zìjǐ de xìngméng . zhè shì zhǔ Yēhéhuá shuō de .
15 Wǒ ruò shǐ è shòu jīngguò zāo jiàn nà dì , shǐ dì huāngliáng , yǐzhì yīn zhèxie shòu , rén dōu bùdé jīngguò .
16 Suī yǒu zhè sān rén zaì qízhōng , zhǔ Yēhéhuá shuō , wǒ zhǐ zhe wǒde yǒngshēng qǐshì , tāmen lián ér daì nǚ dōu bùnéng déjiù , zhǐ néng zìjǐ déjiù , nà dì réngrán huāngliáng .
17 Huòzhĕ wǒ shǐ dāo jiàn líndào nà dì , shuō , dāo jiàn nǎ , yào jīngguò nà dì , yǐzhì wǒ jiāng rén yǔ shēngchù cóng qízhōng jiǎnchú .
18 Suī yǒu zhè sān rén zaì qízhōng , zhǔ Yēhéhuá shuō , wǒ zhǐ zhe wǒde yǒngshēng qǐshì , tāmen lián ér daì nǚ dōu bùnéng déjiù , zhǐ néng zìjǐ déjiù .
19 Huòzhĕ wǒ jiào wēnyì liú xíng nà dì , shǐ wǒ miè méng ( yuánwén zuò daì xuè ) de fèn nù qīng zaì qí shang , hǎo jiāng rén yǔ shēngchù cóng qízhōng jiǎnchú .
20 Suī yǒu Nuóyà , Dànyǐlǐ , Yuēbó zaì qízhōng , zhǔ Yēhéhuá shuō , wǒ zhǐ zhe wǒde yǒngshēng qǐshì , tāmen lián ér daì nǚ dōu bùnéng jiù , zhī néng yīn tāmende yì jiù zìjǐ de xìngméng .
21 Zhǔ Yēhéhuá rúcǐ shuō , wǒ jiāng zhè sì yàng dà zāi jiù shì dāo jiàn , jīhuāng , è shòu , wēnyì jiàng zaì Yēlùsǎlĕng , jiāng rén yǔ shēngchù cóng qízhōng jiǎnchú , qǐbù gèng zhòng ma .
22 Ránér qízhōng bì yǒu shèngxia de rén , tāmen lián ér daì nǚ bì daì dào nǐmen zhèlǐ lái , nǐmen kànjian tāmen suǒ xíng suǒ wéi de , yào yīn wǒ jiàng gĕi Yēlùsǎlĕng de yīqiè zāihuò , biàn dé le ānwèi .
23 Nǐmen kànjian tāmen suǒ xíng suǒ wéi de , dé le ānwèi , jiù zhīdào wǒ zaì Yēlùsǎlĕng zhōng suǒ xíng de bìng fēi wú gù . zhè shì zhǔ Yēhéhuá shuō de .

Yǐsījiēshū 14 Commentary

Chapter 14

Threatenings against hypocrites. (1-11) God's purpose to punish the guilty Jews, but a few should be saved. (12-23)

Verses 1-11 No outward form or reformation can be acceptable to God, so long as any idol possesses the heart; yet how many prefer their own devices and their own righteousness, to the way of salvation! Men's corruptions are idols in their hearts, and are of their own setting up; God will let them take their course. Sin renders the sinner odious in the eyes of the pure and holy God; and in his own eyes also, whenever conscience is awakened. Let us seek to be cleansed from the guilt and pollution of sins, in that fountain which the Lord has opened.

Verses 12-23 National sins bring national judgments. Though sinners escape one judgment, another is waiting for them. When God's professing people rebel against him, they may justly expect all his judgments. The faith, obedience, and prayers of Noah prevailed to the saving of his house, but not of the old world. Job's sacrifice and prayer in behalf of his friends were accepted, and Daniel had prevailed for the saving his companions and the wise men of Babylon. But a people that had filled the measure of their sins, was not to expect to escape for the sake of any righteous men living among them; not even of the most eminent saints, who could be accepted in their own case only through the sufferings and righteousness of Christ. Yet even when God makes the greatest desolations by his judgments, he saves some to be monuments of his mercy. In firm belief that we shall approve the whole of God's dealings with ourselves, and with all mankind, let us silence all rebellious murmurs and objections.

INTRODUCTION TO EZEKIEL 14

In this chapter are contained the displeasure of God at hypocritical idolaters that sought unto him, and at the false prophets; the judgments that should come upon them, and which should not be averted by the intercession of the best of men; and yet a promise that a remnant should be saved. The elders of Israel are said to sit before the prophet, Eze 14:1; to whom the Lord gives an account of them, Eze 14:2,3; and orders the prophet what he should say to them, that the Lord would answer them himself, Eze 14:4,5; and that he should bid the house of Israel repent and turn from their idols, or else the Lord would set his face against them, and cut them off, both them and the false prophets they sought unto; and this is threatened in order to reform them, and continue them his covenant people, Eze 14:6-11; and then the judgment of famine is particularly threatened; to avert which, the prayers of the best of men would be of no effect, Eze 14:12-14; and next the judgment of noisome beasts, with the same intimation, Eze 14:15,16; likewise the sword, Eze 14:17,18; and also the pestilence, Eze 14:19,20; and much less when they should be all sent together, Eze 14:21; and the chapter is concluded with a promise that a remnant should be saved; which would be a comfort to the captives of Babylon, and accounts for what the Lord had done, or would do, in Jerusalem, Eze 14:22,23.
