Bible Verses about Our Identity in Christ

What does the Bible say about our Identity in Christ? - Top Scriptures Quotes

The Bible tells us that our identity in Christ is part of accepting His gift of eternal life through faith. Jesus gave His life on earth and rose from the grave to conquer death and sanctify those who believe in Him. When we become followers and believers in Jesus, we lose our identity of this world and embrace our identity in Christ. Our identity in Christ is being a member of His body, the church.

"He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:11-13 ESV

"If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it." 1 Corinthians 12:26-27 ESV
