Sāmǔĕrjìshàng 26

1 Xīfú rén dào jī bǐ yà jiànSǎoluó , shuō , Dàwèi bú shì zaì kuàngyĕ qián de Hājī lā shān cáng zhe ma .

2 Sǎoluó jiù qǐshēn , daìlǐng Yǐsèliè rén zhōng tiānxuǎn de sān qiā jīng bīng xià dào Xīfú de kuàngyĕ , yào zaì nàli xún suǒ Dàwèi .

3 Sǎoluó zaì kuàngyĕ qián de Hājī lā shān , zaì dàolù shàng ān yíng . Dàwèi zhù zaì kuàngyĕ , tīngshuō Sǎoluó dào kuàngyĕ lái zhuī xún tā ,

4 Jiù dǎfa rén qù tàn tīng , biàn zhīdào Sǎoluó guǒrán lái dào .

5 Dàwèi qǐlai , dào Sǎoluó ān yíng de dìfang , kànjian Sǎoluó hé tāde yuán shuaì ní Ěr de érzi Níér shuì wò zhī chù . Sǎoluó shuì zaì zī zhòng yíng lǐ , bǎixìng ān yíng zaì tā zhōuwéi .

6 Dàwèi duì Hèrén yà xī mǐ lè hé xǐ lǔ yǎ de érzi Yuēyē de xiōngdi yà bǐ shāi shuō , shuí tóng wǒ xià dào Sǎoluó yíng lǐ qù . yà bǐ shāi shuō , wǒ tóng nǐ xià qù .

7 Yúshì Dàwèi hé yà bǐ shāi yè jiān dào le bǎixìng nàli , jiàn Sǎoluó shuì zaì zī zhòng yíng lǐ . tāde qiāng zaì tóu páng , chā zaì dì shàng . Níér hé bǎixìng shuì zaì tā zhōuwéi .

8 Yà bǐ shāi duì Dàwèi shuō , xiànzaì shén jiāng nǐde chóudí jiāo zaì nǐ shǒu lǐ , qiú nǐ róng wǒ ná qiāng jiāng tā cī tòu zaì dì , yī cī jiù chéng , búyòng zaì cī .

9 Dàwèi duì yà bǐ shāi shuō , bùkĕ haì sǐ tā . yǒu shuí shēnshǒu haì Yēhéhuá de shòu gāo zhĕ ér wú zuì ne .

10 Dàwèi yòu shuō , wǒ zhǐ zhe yǒngshēng de Yēhéhuá qǐshì , tā huò beì Yēhéhuá jī dá , huò shì sǐ qī dào le , huò shì chū zhàn zhèn wáng .

11 Wǒ zaì Yēhéhuá miànqián , wàn bú gǎn shēnshǒu haì Yēhéhuá de shòu gāo zhĕ . xiànzaì nǐ kĕyǐ jiāng tā tóu páng de qiāng hé shuǐ píng ná lái , wǒmen jiù zǒu .

12 Dàwèi cóng Sǎoluó de tóu páng ná le qiāng hé shuǐ píng , èr rén jiù zǒu le , méiyǒu rén kànjian , méiyǒu rén zhīdào , yĕ méiyǒu rén xǐng qǐ , dōu shuì zhe le , yīnwei Yēhéhuá shǐ tāmen chén chén dì shuì le .

13 Dàwèi guō dào nàbiān qù , yuǎn yuǎn dì zhàn zaì shāndǐng shàng , yǔ tāmen xiāng lí shén yuǎn .

14 Dàwèi hūjiào bǎixìng hé ní Ěr de érzi Níér shuō , Níér a , nǐ wèihé bù dā yīng ne . Níér shuō , nǐ shì shuí . jìnggǎn hūjiào wáng ne .

15 Dàwèi duì Níér shuō , nǐ bú shì gè yǒng shì ma . Yǐsèliè zhōng shuí néng bǐ nǐ ne . mín zhōng yǒu rén jìnlái yào haì sǐ wáng nǐde zhǔ , nǐ wèihé méiyǒu bǎohù wáng nǐde zhǔ ne .

16 Nǐ zhèyàng shì bù hǎo de . wǒ zhǐ zhe yǒngshēng de Yēhéhuá qǐshì , nǐmen dōu shì gāisǐ de . yīnwei méiyǒu bǎohù nǐmen de zhǔ , jiù shì Yēhéhuá de shòu gāo zhĕ . xiànzaì nǐ kàn kàn wáng tóu páng de qiāng hé shuǐ píng zaì nǎli .

17 Sǎoluó tīng chū shì Dàwèi de shēngyīn , jiù shuō , wǒ ér Dàwèi , zhè shì nǐde shēngyīn ma . Dàwèi shuō , zhǔ wǒde wáng a , shì wǒde shēngyīn .

18 Yòu shuō , wǒ zuò le shénme . wǒ shǒu lǐ yǒu shénme è shì . wǒ zhǔ jìng zhuīgǎn púrén ne .

19 Qiú wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng tīng púrén de huà , ruò shì Yēhéhuá jīfā nǐ gōngjī wǒ , yuàn Yēhéhuá shōu nà jìwù . ruò shì rén jīfā nǐ , yuàn tā zaì Yēhéhuá miànqián shòu zhòuzǔ . yīnwei tā xiànjīn gǎn zhú wǒ , bùróng wǒ zaì Yēhéhuá de chǎnyè shàng yǒu fēn , shuō , nǐ qù shìfèng bié shén ba .

20 Xiànzaì qiú wáng búyào shǐ wǒde xuè liú zaì lí Yēhéhuá yuǎn de dìfang . Yǐsèliè wáng chūlai shì xúnzhǎo yī gè gè zǎo , rútóng rén zaì shān shàng liè qǔ yī gè zhè gū yìbān .

21 Sǎoluó shuō , wǒ yòu zuì le . wǒ ér Dàwèi , nǐ kĕyǐ huí lái , yīn nǐ jīnrì kàn wǒde xìngméng wèi bǎoguì . wǒ bì bú zaì jiā haì yú nǐ . wǒ shì hū tú rén , dàdà cuò le .

22 Dàwèi shuō , wáng de qiāng zaì zhèlǐ , kĕyǐ fēnfu yī gè púrén guō lái ná qù .

23 Jīnrì Yēhéhuá jiāng wáng jiāo zaì wǒ shǒu lǐ , wǒ què bù kĕn shēnshǒu haì Yēhéhuá de shòu gāo zhĕ . Yēhéhuá bì zhào gèrén de gōngyì chéngshí bàoyìng tā .

24 Wǒ jīnrì chóng kàn nǐde xìngméng , yuàn Yēhéhuá yĕ chóng kàn wǒde xìngméng , bìngqiĕ zhĕngjiù wǒ tuōlí yīqiè huànnàn .

25 Sǎoluó duì Dàwèi shuō , wǒ ér Dàwèi , yuàn nǐ dé fú . nǐ bì zuò dà shì , yĕ bì déshèng . yúshì Dàwèi qǐ xíng , Sǎoluó huí tāde bĕn chù qù le .

Sāmǔĕrjìshàng 26 Commentary

Chapter 26

Saul goes after David, who again spares Saul's life. (1-12) David exhorts Saul. (13-20) Saul acknowledges his sin. (21-25)

Verses 1-12 How soon do unholy hearts lose the good impressions convictions have made upon them! How helpless were Saul and all his men! All as though disarmed and chained, yet nothing is done to them; they are only asleep. How easily can God weaken the strongest, befool the wisest, and baffle the most watchful! David still resolved to wait till God thought fit to avenge him on Saul. He will by no means force his way to the promised crown by any wrong methods. The temptation was very strong; but if he yielded, he would sin against God, therefore he resisted the temptation, and trusted God with the event.

Verses 13-20 David reasoned seriously and affectionately with Saul. Those who forbid our attendance on God's ordinances, do what they can to estrange us from God, and to make us heathens. We are to reckon that which exposes us to sin the greatest injury that can be done us. If the Lord stirred thee up against me, either in displeasure to me, taking this way to punish me for my sins against him, or in displeasure to thee, if it be the effect of that evil spirit from the Lord which troubles thee; let Him accept an offering from us both. Let us join in seeking peace, and to be reconciled with God by sacrifice.

Verses 21-25 Saul repeated his good words and good wishes. But he showed no evidence of true repentance towards God. David and Saul parted to meet no more. No reconciliation among men is firm, which is not founded in an cemented by peace with God through Jesus Christ. In sinning against God, men play the fool, and err exceedingly. Many obtain a passing view of these truths, who hate and close their eyes against the light. Fair professions do not entitle those to confidence who have long sinned against the light, yet the confessions of obstinate sinners may satisfy us that we are in the right way, and encourage us to persevere, expecting our recompence from the Lord alone.

This chapter relates that Saul, upon the information of the Ziphites, went out again with an armed force to seek David, 1Sa 26:1-3; of which David having intelligence, and of the place where he pitched, came with one of his men and reconnoitred his camp, and finding Saul and his men asleep, took away his spear, and the cruse of water at his head, and departed, without taking away his life, though solicited to it by his servant, 1Sa 26:4-12; which spear and cruse of water he produced to the reproach of Abner, Saul's general, and as a testimony of his sincere regard to Saul, and that he had no design upon his life, 1Sa 26:13-20; of which Saul being convinced, blessed David, and returned home again, 1Sa 26:21-25.
