Shēnméngjì 22

1 Nǐ ruò kànjian dìxiōng de niú huò yáng shī mí le lù , bùkĕ yáng wéi bú jiàn , zǒng yào bǎ tā qiā huí lái jiāo gĕi nǐde dìxiōng .

2 Nǐ dìxiōng ruò lí nǐ yuǎn , huò shì nǐ bú rènshi tā , jiù yào qiā dào nǐ jia qù , liú zaì nǐ nàli , dĕng nǐ dìxiōng lái xúnzhǎo jiù hái gĕi tā .

3 Nǐde dìxiōng wúlùn shīluò shénme , huò shì lü , huò shì yīfu , nǐ ruò yùjiàn , dōu yào zhèyàng xíng , bùkĕ yáng wéi bú jiàn .

4 Nǐ ruò kànjian dìxiōng de niú huò lü diēdǎo zaì lù shàng , bùkĕ yáng wéi bú jiàn , zǒng yào bāngzhu Tālā qǐlai .

5 Fùnǚ bùkĕ chuāndaì nánzǐ suǒ chuāndaì de , nánzǐ yĕ bùkĕ chuān fùnǚ de yīfu , yīnwei zhèyàng xíng dōu shì Yēhéhuá nǐ shén suǒ zēngwù de .

6 Nǐ ruò lù shàng yùjiàn niǎo wō , huò zaì shù shàng huò zaì dì shàng , lǐtou yǒu chú huò yǒu dàn , mǔ niǎo fú zaì chú shàng huò zaì dàn shàng , nǐ bùkĕ lián mǔ daì chú yībìng qǔ qù .

7 Zǒng yào fàng mǔ , zhǐ kè qǔ chú , zhèyàng nǐ jiù kĕyǐ xiǎng fú , rìzi déyǐ chángjiǔ .

8 Nǐ ruò jiànzào fángwū , yào zaì fáng shàng de sìwéi ān lán gān , miǎndé yǒu rén cóng fáng shàng diào xià lái , liúxuè de zuì jiù guīyú nǐ jiā .

9 Bùkĕ bǎ liǎngyàng zhǒngzǐ zhòng zaì nǐde pútaóyuán lǐ , miǎndé nǐ sǎzhǒng suǒ jié de hé pútaóyuán de guǒzi dōu yào chōng gōng .

10 Bùkĕ bìng yòng niú , lü gēngdì .

11 Bùkĕ chuān yáng maó , xì má liǎngyàng chānzá liào zuò de yīfu .

12 Nǐ yào zaì suǒ pī de waìyī shàng sìwéi zuò suì zǐ .

13 Rén ruò qǔ qì , yǔ tā tóngfáng zhī hòu hèn è tā ,

14 Xìn kǒu shuō tā , jiāng chǒu míngjiā zaì tā shēnshang , shuō , wǒ qǔ le zhè nǚzi , yǔ tā tóngfáng , jiàn tā méiyǒu zhēn jié de píngjù .

15 Nǚzi de fùmǔ jiù yào bǎ nǚzi zhēn jié de píngjù ná chūlai , daì dào bĕn chéng mén zhǎnglǎo nàli .

16 Nǚzi de fùqin yào duì zhǎnglǎo shuō , wǒ jiāng wǒde nǚér gĕi zhè rén wéi qì , tā hèn è tā ,

17 Xìn kǒu shuō tā , shuō , wǒ jiàn nǐde nǚér méiyǒu zhēn jié de píngjù . qíshí zhè jiù shì wǒ nǚér zhēn jié de píngjù . fùmǔ jiù bǎ nà bù pù zaì bĕn chéng de zhǎnglǎo miànqián .

18 Bĕn chéng de zhǎnglǎo yào ná zhù nà rén , chéng zhì tā ,

19 Bìng yào fá tā yī bǎi/bó Shĕkèlè yínzi , gĕi nǚzi de fùqin , yīnwei tā jiāng chǒu míngjiā zaì Yǐsèliè de yī gè chǔnǚ shēnshang . nǚzi réng zuò tāde qì , zhōng shēn bùkĕ xiū tā .

20 Dàn zhè shì ruò shì zhēn de , nǚzi méiyǒu zhēn jié de píngjù ,

21 Jiù yào jiāng nǚzi daì dào tā fǔ jia de ménkǒu , bĕn chéng de rén yào yòng shítou jiāng tā dá sǐ . yīnwei tā zaì fǔ jia xíng le yínluàn , zaì Yǐsèliè zhōng zuò le chǒu shì . zhèyàng , jiù bǎ nà è cóng nǐmen zhōngjiān chúdiào .

22 Ruò yùjiàn rén yǔ yǒu zhàngfu de fùrén xíng yín , jiù yào jiāng jiān fú yín fù yībìng zhìsǐ . zhèyàng , jiù bǎ nà è cóng Yǐsèliè zhōng chúdiào .

23 Ruò yǒu chǔnǚ yǐjing xǔpeì zhàngfu , yǒu rén zaì chéng lǐ yùjiàn tā , yǔ tā xíng yín ,

24 Nǐmen jiù yào bǎ zhè èr rén daì dào bĕn chéng mén , yòng shítou dá sǐ nǚzi shì yīnwei suī zaì chéng lǐ què méiyǒu hǎnjiào . nánzǐ shì yīnwei diànwū biérén de qì . zhèyàng , jiù bǎ nà è cóng nǐmen zhōngjiān chúdiào .

25 Ruò yǒu nánzǐ zaì tiānyĕ yùjiàn yǐjing xǔpeì rén de nǚzi , qiáng yǔ tā xíng yín , zhǐyào jiāng nà nánzǐ zhìsǐ .

26 Dàn bùkĕ bàn nǚzi . tā bĕn méiyǒu gāisǐ de zuì , zhè shì jiù leì hū rén qǐlai gōngjī línshè , jiāng tā shā le yíyàng .

27 Yīnwei nánzǐ shì zaì tiānyĕ yùjiàn nà yǐjing xǔpeì rén de nǚzi , nǚzi hǎnjiào , bìng wú rén jiù tā .

28 Ruò yǒu nánzǐ yùjiàn méiyǒu xǔpeì rén de chǔnǚ , zhuāzhù tā , yǔ tā xíng yín , beì rén kànjian ,

29 Zhè nánzǐ jiù yào ná wǔ shí Shĕkèlè yínzi gĕi nǚzi de fùqin . yīn tā diànwū le zhè nǚzi , jiù yào qǔ tā wéi qì , zhōng shēn bùkĕ xiū tā .

Shēnméngjì 22 Commentary

Chapter 22

Of humanity towards brethren. (1-4) Various precepts. (5-12) Against impurity. (13-30)

Verses 1-4 If we duly regard the golden rule of "doing to others as we would they should do unto us," many particular precepts might be omitted. We can have no property in any thing that we find. Religion teaches us to be neighbourly, and to be ready to do all good offices to all men. We know not how soon we may have occasion for help.

Verses 5-12 God's providence extends itself to the smallest affairs, and his precepts do so, that even in them we may be in the fear of the Lord, as we are under his eye and care. Yet the tendency of these laws, which seem little, is such, that being found among the things of God's law, they are to be accounted great things. If we would prove ourselves to be God's people, we must have respect to his will and to his glory, and not to the vain fashions of the world. Even in putting on our garments, as in eating or in drinking, all must be done with a serious regard to preserve our own and others' purity in heart and actions. Our eye should be single, our heart simple, and our behaviour all of a piece.

Verses 13-30 These and the like regulations might be needful then, and yet it is not necessary that we should curiously examine respecting them. The laws relate to the seventh commandment, laying a restraint upon fleshly lusts which war against the soul.

In this chapter are various laws, concerning care of a neighbour's cattle gone astray or in distress, and of anything lost by him, De 22:1-4, forbidding one sex to wear the apparel, of another, De 22:5 and the taking away of the dam with the young found in a bird's nest, De 22:6,7, ordering battlements to be made in a new house, De 22:8, prohibiting mixtures in sowing, ploughing, and in garments, De 22:9-11, requiring fringes on the four quarters of a garment, De 22:12, fining a man that slanders his wife, upon producing the tokens of her virginity, De 22:13-19 but if these cannot be produced, then orders are given that she be put to death, De 22:20-21, then follow other laws, punishing with death the adulterer and adulteress, and one that hath ravished a betrothed damsel, De 22:22-27, amercing a person that lies with a virgin not betrothed and she consenting, and obliging him to marry her, and not suffering him to divorce her, De 22:28-29 and another against a man's lying with his father's wife, De 22:30.
